FAQs

  • 1. Do you offer design only services?

No. We offer full design and construct, and in the right circumstances, we offer construct services, to your plans. This is subject to a review of your site and plans.

  • 2. What are the costs involved?

Each property is unique; therefore, so too are the costings. Once a site is selected and a design brief established, an estimate of the costings can be generated. This is always our goal, prior to engagement of design.

  • 3. How long is the design process?

The design process depends upon the size and detail of the project. Usually, first drafts are produced in approximately 4 weeks. Amendments through to final documents, would be ready for engineering and costing in around 3 months.

  • 4. How long do planning approvals take?

If the project is a Complying Development, the approvals can be around 1 month. Usually, we allow 3-6 months for a standard DA/CC, with more complex applications taking up to 12 months.

  • 5. How long will it take to build our design?

This depends upon the size and detail of the project. A typical 1000m2 home on acreage build, including landscaping, pool and tennis court, with highly detailed finishes, usually concludes within 18 months. Some projects can take around 12 months & others have taken up to 24 months. We can provide this estimate, soon after our initial site discussions.

  • 6. Are you able to assist with site purchase advice?

Absolutely. We actually prefer this be the case, because we gain a good understanding of your design brief prior and can confidently advise if we are able to meet the expected outcome, based on the chosen site.

  • 7. Do I deal directly with David during the design, cost and approval processes?

Yes. There are times when Aaron becomes involved in the costing process and sometimes other design collaborators, such as our draftsman, engineer or interior designer will be directly involved but the entire process, from beginning to end, is managed by David.
